Privacy, kept simple.

Alder Focus is designed to work without an account. We do not sell personal information, show advertising, or track you across apps or websites.

Information that stays on your device

Your medication selection, dose, medication and rest-day history, reminders, optional cues, and check-ins are stored locally on your device. Alder Focus does not upload this information to our servers. Removing the app removes this local information.

Optional Friends account

If you choose to use Friends, Apple, Google, and our authentication provider may process an account identifier, name, or email address. We store the display name and username you choose, along with friend requests and accepted friendships. If you use quiet support, we also store the optional presence status you set (such as “Focusing” or “Low tide”), its expiry time, your support preference, and the predefined quiet signals you send to accepted friends. Signals contain no free text and are visible only to the person who receives them. They are deleted when dismissed or when a friendship ends; after seven days they expire, are no longer visible to anyone, and are routinely deleted. Medication and dose information is never part of a Friends profile.

How information is used

Online account information is used only to provide sign-in, profiles, friend search, friend requests, presence and quiet signals between accepted friends, blocking, and safety reporting. We do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Service provider

We use Supabase to provide authentication and the optional Friends database. Supabase processes this information on our behalf to operate those features.

Safety reports and blocks

If you report a profile, we store the reported name, username, reason, and the accounts involved so the report can be reviewed. If you block someone, we store that block so the two accounts cannot find or contact each other through Friends.

Deletion

You can permanently delete your online account inside Alder Focus by opening your profile and choosing “Delete account.” This deletes your profile, friend requests, friendships, presence, and quiet signals. Local medication history is not connected to your account and remains on your device until you remove the app.

Children

Alder Focus is not directed to children under 13. Medication decisions for a child should always be handled by a parent or guardian together with a qualified healthcare professional.
